Vanilla Gelato
Gelato is the wonderful, creamy Italian version of the ice cream. Here we present our own version of the vanilla gelato, exactly how our mom taught us… with a little twist of Hawaiian Black Salt and EVOO, because sometimes we do like to surprise her!
Step 1
Gently whisk sugar with heavy cream, milk, and vanilla extract, until all of the sugar is well mixed.
Step 2
Put the mix in the ice cream maker for the time suggested. Gelato needs to be creamier and softer than ice cream.
Step 3
Let rest in the freezer for at least two hours before serving. Add black salt and extra virgin olive oil on top, or grated chocolate!
ENJOY!

Manuele Gardini, descendant of the Gardini family who opened the historical Pasticceria le Perle in 1976, founded Gardini Chocolate in 1987. The company had since then won multiple chocolate making awards and currently makes some of the best salt-infused milk and dark chocolate bars.
